Just a note to say “Thanks” for lunch and the hospitality that you and Kilcoo provided last Wednesday. It was an awesome experience especially for John as he had not seen Kilcoo since he was a little boy.
The last time I was in the lodge with campers was when Chief gave his final ‘goodbye’ speech as he was commencing a new life journey and career change. I remember I was with Trevor Pedler and we both had tears in our eyes and left with the distinct impression that Kilcoo would never be the same.
Once again, I was right! After experiencing Kilcoo on Wednesday which included lunch and sing songs, I will have to conclude that Kilcoo is not the same but even better!
I was astounded when campers, LIT’s and counsellors of all ages would approach us, offer a firm handshake, make eye contact with a warm welcoming smile. Lots of great activities, FUN, great friendships, Rock music in the lodge! How could it get any better?
The visit was a totally awesome experience for both John and I, and under your leadership and guidance, you have kept the ‘Spirit of Kilcoo’ alive and grown the brand Kilcoo for many more generations!
Your Dad would be and is so very proud.
